constructing turn lanes at the intersection of Ranch-to-Market Road 1826;

constructing turn lanes at the intersection of Convict Hill Road;

re-configuring the US 290/State Highway 71 intersection to allow a continuous flow design;

re-configuring the William Cannon Drive intersection to allow a continuous flow design; and

improving operations at Joe Tanner Lane.



Bicycle and pedestrian facilities are also proposed at the five intersections.

The purpose of the proposed improvements is to reduce congestion by improving mobility and enhancing safety. More detailed information about the proposed intersection improvements is available at http://www.txdot.gov/project_information/projects/austin/default.htm

The Open House will be held in the cafeteria of Clint Small, Jr. Middle School (4801 Monterey Oaks Blvd, Austin, Tx 78749) between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 pm. During the open house, displays showing the proposed improvements and information about traffic flow and operations through the intersections will be available for review. A formal presentation will not be made; however, members of the project team will be available to explain and discuss the proposed improvements and answer questions.

All interested citizens are invited to attend the Open House and to provide input. Verbal and written comments may be presented at the Open House. In addition, written comments may be submitted after the Open House. To be included in the official record of the Open House, written comments must be received by Monday, April 2, 2012.
